Muffins with Mom
Come and enjoy a muffin with your mom or other favorite women in your life on Mother’s Day, Sunday, May 14th. We will be serving muffins, fruit, juice, coffee, and Pop Tarts for those with nut allergies. Breakfast will be available between services from 9:00 – 9:30 and 10:30 – 11:00 in the Fellowship Hall. This is a free event and all are welcome to attend. Any questions or if you’d like to help with this event, contact Sarah Howard at 440-503-8755 or firstname.lastname@example.org
In the past, we’ve had some extraordinary volunteers and the Boy Scouts who have helped clean up the grounds and plant flowers around the church to make everything look beautiful. We are planning another Spring cleanup and flower planting on Saturday, May 13th, from 8:00 am – 12:00 pm. Do you need any experience in gardening? No just a willingness to serve. Bring any rakes, shovels or weed clippers you might have, dress for getting dirty, and join us for a fun morning of fellowship and weeding! Meet in the church parking lot at 8:00 am!
Heart Health Month
Blood Pressure Checks
May is Heart Health Month here at St. Paul’s. RNs will be available to check your blood pressure and provide education regarding hypertension. That screening will be provided between services in the Gathering Space on Sundays, May 21st & May 28th.
Determination – Deciding it’s worth it to finish what you started.
Through out the Bible, God has been faithful to His people. He sent His Son, Jesus, to save us from sin, and He sent the Holy Spirit to empower us. Paul wrote “So let’s not get tired of doing what is good. At just the right time we will reap a harvest of blessing if we don’t give up.” (Galatians 6:9 – NLT) to the church at Philippi. He was encouraging them and us to show determination and keep doing good even if we don’t see any results immediately. In time, God will help us see that finishing what we start is worth all the effort.
Life isn’t always easy, but God will give us what we need to keep going. Through the help of the Holy Spirit we can push forward instead of giving up. We can trust God because He knows the end of the story.
