Humility

How well do you practice humility?  Do you forget that your strengths and accomplishments come from God?  Do you respond with humility to those around you?

Jesus was our ultimate example of humility.  He was the Son of God, there is nothing under His command.  Jesus deserved to be worshiped and praised.  But instead He chose to live a simple, humble life.  In a world that is all about putting ourselves first, He put others first and it cost Him everything.  His ultimate act of humility on Earth was His Death on the cross.

Being humble and putting others first may cost us something: time, money or our pride.  But if we follow Jesus, the least we can do is put others first even if it’s a bit uncomfortable and cost us something.

March Pinterest

Crafters Get Crafty!

Thanks to all who attended our March Pinterest Event.  The masterpieces that were created were beautiful!  It is pretty amazing to know that there will be more than 20 crosses displayed in houses or given as gifts to others.  What a great way to share and show God’s love.

The Old Testament

Is It Really Relevant?

Ever wonder why it seems some of the Old Testament is “out of date”.  Do we need to follow that anymore?  If you’re looking for a small group to join . . . THIS IS IT.  We’re a group of families with kids ranging in age from birth to college-age who are learning to develop our faith further!  We meet the 1st & 3rd Fridays of each month, from 6-8 pm (sometimes we talk later). We’re a very casual group.  We each bring our own food for dinner and eat while we discuss.  Child care is covered and the kids eat in the nursery area.  The adults meet in the Gathering Space.  If you’re interested in joining, call or text Erin Grieger at 419-340-6067 or email at erincgrieger@gmail.com and let me know you want to come!

Save The Dates

Easter Events

The Maumee Uptown Business Association is hosting their annual Easter Egg-stravaganza on Saturday, April 8, from 10:00 am – 12:00 pm.  Children will hunt from store to store along the participating Uptown Maumee businesses collecting eggs and even having a chance to meet the Easter Bunny.  St. Paul’s Lutheran Church will be passing out Easter Eggs at this event so be sure to stop by to support us and join in the fun!  If you would like to help pass out eggs, please contact Sarah Howard at 440-503-8755 for this fun (and easy!) volunteering opportunity.

Details to follow, but save the date of Saturday, April 15th, for St. Paul’s Annual Community Easter Egg Hunt & Celebration!
